Christopher Munroe

Christomer Lee Munro

FOUNDER & MANAGING PARTNER

Christopher Munro is the founder and managing partner of Coastal Family Homes—the dominant short-term rental platform in Corpus Christi. He built the company with a singular focus: acquire, control, and elevate the highest-value residential real estate along Ocean Drive, the most prestigious corridor in the city.

Today, that vision is fully realized. Under his leadership, Coastal Family Homes owns every single-family residential short-term rental on Ocean Drive, forming what is now known as the Ocean Drive Collection—a concentrated portfolio of luxury coastal assets that operates at scale without sacrificing quality. In an industry where growth typically leads to operational decline, Christopher has done the opposite, building both the largest and one of the highest-rated portfolios in the market.

Christopher was born and raised in Corpus Christi. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi before going on to Harvard University, where he completed a Master’s in Finance along with graduate certificates in Corporate Finance and Accounting. He has remained actively involved at Harvard since 2018 as a Teaching Assistant and Teaching Fellow, contributing to both undergraduate and graduate programs—a tenure that now spans a decade.

Professionally, Christopher began his career in investment banking and private equity, developing a foundation in capital allocation, underwriting, and asset strategy. He chose to bring that expertise back to Corpus Christi—not to participate in the market, but to reshape a specific part of it. Over the past five years, he has systematically acquired and redeveloped underperforming properties along Ocean Drive, transforming them into a high-performing, institutionally operated portfolio.

His approach is vertically integrated—controlling acquisition, construction, and operations—allowing for speed, cost efficiency, and consistent execution across the portfolio. Christopher remains directly involved in every major decision across the business. His philosophy is simple: own the best locations, control the product, and operate at a standard that competitors cannot replicate.

Mindy

Melinda Senn

DIRECTOR OF RENOVATIONS

Melinda Senn leads the transformation of every Coastal Family Homes asset from acquisition through completion. She is responsible for how each home looks, functions, and ultimately performs as a short-term rental—long before it ever goes live.

From the earliest stages of the process, Melinda plays a key role in identifying and underwriting potential acquisitions, evaluating not just the current state of a property, but what it can become. Once acquired, she takes full ownership of the renovation—defining the scope, setting the vision, and overseeing execution from start to finish.

Her work goes beyond construction. Melinda designs each home with intent: how the space flows, how it will be used by guests, and how it needs to perform at a high level under constant turnover. Every detail is deliberate—from layout decisions and material selections to furnishings, staging, and final presentation. She works closely with contractors, designers, and internal teams to ensure timelines are met and standards are upheld, while maintaining visual and experiential consistency across the broader Ocean Drive Collection.

By the time a property is handed off to operations, it is fully realized—positioned not just as a renovated home, but as a finished product built to perform. At Coastal Family Homes, the difference starts at the asset level. Melinda is responsible for getting that right.

Sam

Sam Blanton

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Sam Blanton is responsible for the execution behind every live property at Coastal Family Homes. While acquisitions and renovations build the portfolio, Sam is the one who ensures it performs—every day, every stay, without exception.

With more than two decades of experience in real estate and property management, Sam brings a level of operational discipline that is rare in the short-term rental space. Once a property goes live, it becomes her responsibility. From that point forward, she owns the guest experience, the condition of the asset, and the consistency of operations across the portfolio.

She oversees everything that happens between bookings: guest communication, arrivals and departures, cleaning coordination, maintenance, and real-time problem solving. More importantly, she ensures these moving pieces work together seamlessly at scale. Properties at Coastal Family Homes are not just “managed”—they are actively monitored, maintained, and held to a standard that reflects the brand. Cleaners, vendors, and support staff operate under her direction, with clear expectations and accountability built into every process.

In a business where small failures compound quickly, Sam’s role is to make sure they don’t happen.
